The Power of Pushing Through and Reaching the First Anniversary of the Podcast!
I don't believe in "hustle over health," and I'm proud of what I accomplished during this challenging year.
This episode marks a full year of podcasting on the Make it Inevitable show—a journey packed with massive changes and challenges that make it all the more significant.
I’m here to chat about the pride that comes with pushing through, but let me be crystal clear: I don’t believe in “hustle over health” and never stopping something, especially when your body is crying out for rest and recovery. I believe in discernment and knowing when to take a breather vs. when to forge ahead despite the hurdles.
This last year gave me every reason to hit pause or throw in the towel, especially considering my health struggles, but I didn’t. Not out of obligation or to prove anything to anyone else, but because it was crucial for me to keep these conversations alive, even when it was tough to simply show up and speak because of the lack of oxygen in my blood. This year and the fierce commitment and dedication to my show taught me how to do the hard things that matter even when I don’t look, feel, or sound how I want, and to prioritize what’s most important to me—the conversations and container—in a way that honors where I’m at and what’s meaningful to my heart.
Join me in celebrating this milestone as I share the behind-the-scenes of this past year and give you a sneak peek into what’s coming in year two of the show!
“This is one of those spaces where I need to keep showing up, and I also want to continue showing up honestly and showing that we don't have to be perfect in these things. There are times where we don't feel 100%. We don't look how we want to look, we don't sound how we want to sound. We're not as clear as we want to be or as brilliant as we want or whatever it may be. And one of the best things that we can do is show up anyways.”
